Leaving offices was the most common response to a possible risk of infection in the first weeks of a pandemic. In the first wave, over 40 percent of Czechs at least partially worked from their homes, in the second wave, less than 30 percent of the population used this solution. Czechs manage work from home much harder than employees in the rest of the world. This follows from a study by the IDEA think tank dedicated to Czech employees and a study by the Microsoft Work Trend Index.

pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank (pbb) and Helaba have jointly underwritten an investment facility, totalling €130 million to refinance “Dock In Office Park” (4 buildings) in Prague for Crestyl Group. pbb and Helaba are acting as joint lead arrangers providing equal portions of the funding. pbb also acted as facility and security agent of the transaction.

Building B in Prague’s BB Centrum has acquired another tenant. This March, ABInBev, the largest brewer in the world, owning brands such as Stella Artois, Leffe and Corona, headquartered its global shared service centre here on an area of more than 7400 m2. The owner and manager of the building is the Passerinvest concern.
Alza.cz used a year-long work from home to complete the reconstruction of part of its headquarters in Prague's Holešovice. Its employees now have a large café for meeting colleagues, a greenspace full of live plants with shared jobs and 42 meeting rooms on an area of over 10,000 m2. One of them is in a restored van Saviem from 1961.
Administrative Building B in BB Centrum in Prague 4 won first place in the prestigious real estate competition CIJ Awards Czech Republic 2021, and was awarded in the Best Legacy (Redevelopment) Development category. The complete revitalization of the building and its surroundings, thanks to which it was again included among the Prague administrative buildings of category A, was completed in mid-2020. The independent law firm Wilsons has signed a lease for 800 square meters of office space in The Flow Building. The building on Wenceslas Square, which was built by the development company Flow East, is one of the most impressive examples of modern sustainable architecture in Prague. Wilsons will move to its new premises in a highly sought-after project in the third quarter of 2021.
