Prachař says the D3 motorway, which connects Prague to Česke Budějovice, could be further extended to Linz. He also has an eye on the R52 highway, which could connect Mikulov in South Moravia to Vienna. However a Mikulov-Vienna route could be difficult, as South Moravia still lacks regional planning guidelines.
The new minister is prioritizing the R35 highway extension, which would help ease the traffic load on the D1 motorway, and the Prague ring. Prachař also says he wants to continue construction on the D3 in Central Bohemia and restructure the Road and Motorway Directorate (ŘSD) into a state-owned company.
