UBM Development

The UBM Group is involved in the development, lease and sale of properties all over the Europe, focusing primarily on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE countries). UBM utilizes experience acquired over more than 130 years of the company’s involvement in the fields of property-related businesses, development and consulting. In countries, in which it has worked, the Company has been most often active as an investor and principal contractor. At the Vienna Stock Exchange, UBM Rlitätenentwicklung AG has been registered for more than one hundred years – since 1873. The Czech branch of UBM – UBM Bohemia was established in 1995. The most famous projects of UBM include hotel InterContinental Hotel in Warsaw and Vienna International Dream Castle Hotel Paris in France, as well as Seevillen Jois near Neusiedlersee in Austria and Florido Tower in Vienna. The UBM will follow its success course also in the future. In addition to the expansion on the domestic markets, the company plans to enter markets in Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia. It is also preparing to enter Ukraine and Russia. In 1996, UBM opened the office and shopping center DAREX with the total area of 8,000 m2 at the Wenceslas Square in Prague. In 2002, UBM Bohemia completed two projects – the shopping and entertainment center Velký Špalíček in the historic center of Brno and the Zvonařka residential project in Prague 2 – Královské Vinohrady with 225 apartments and the adjoining Le Palais Hotel. The construction of the Anděl City Project began on the plots of the former Tatrovka plant in 2000. In several stages, UMB Bohemia has built an entire city district there. In the first stage, several office buildings and the multiplex entertainment center Village Cinemas were built and, in the second stage, the headquarters of the pharmaceutical concern Pfizer and the Design Hotel Andel’s followed. In the third stage, the Cetelem office building was built and the Anděl City residence project followed in the fourth stage. UBM concluded the fifth stage by the construction of the Angelo Hotel. At the beginning of this year, the last stage of the Anděl City Project has been completed with another office building and the second phase of the Anděl City Residence with 107 apartments. At present, UBM Bohemia is preparing new projects all over the Czech Republic.
