The Cube office building underwent a general reconstruction in 1Q 2011. A substantial budget had been prepared to improve the general external, internal, and technical situation of the building.
The administrative building was completed in 1977. It was designed by architects Stanislav Franc, Jan Nováček and Vladimír Fencl. It was originally occupied by Koospol; the foreign trade business of Czechoslovakia. Since 1989 it has been home to large international firms most notably T-Mobile and Citibank.
The panel construction consists of more than 20.000 m² of usable space distributed across 7 floors. The building is divided into two parts; a main building with approximately 16.000 m² and an annex building of about 4.000 m². The property provides 355 parking spaces, an on-site employee cafeteria and sporting facilities.
The Cube is situated in the Vokovice area of Prague 6 on Evropska Street. Evropska is one of Pragues main arterial routes connecting the downtown with Pragues Ruzyne International Airport. This location will also be served by the planned extension of the Metro Line A, station Nadrazi Vlalesim by 2014, works are already in progress. There is also a host of outdoor sporting and recreational activities adjacent to the building – key being Divoka Sarka national park:
